Over the last 20 years Gerald Place has become established as one of the leading photographers of the performing arts.

His client-base is broad with vocal groups ranging from the BBC Singers to the King?s Singers, orchestras from the Hanover Band to the RPO, and individuals from model Maria Whittaker to the late violinist & conductor Lord Menuhin.

His work has been published widely in the music press, including many front covers, and in the Radio Times, Daily Telegraph, and the Observer Magazine. He has contributed to several books, most notably The Karate Handbook (Cassell). He has also been involved with publicity for the Wigmore Hall for several seasons.

He also undertakes private commissions, both portraiture and weddings.
